Craig caught mainly down the edge either side with pellet on the pole to weigh in 58lbs 8oz from peg 11. He could have won by a lot more but, due to a hangover from Barcelona the previous night, he actually only fished for 20 minutes and also lost a lot of fish under the empty platform next to him. (Apparently someone told him there were no fish in the lake over 2lbs).
He spent the rest of the match chatting to boy/girlfriends on the phone and asking his neighbour, Paul Elmes, how many fish he had!
Not far behind, on peg 9 was Paul Elmes who fished mainly on the pole shallow and ended up with 50lbs 4oz, followed by Mark Britton at peg 16 who had a tantrum-free day and put together 37lbs 10oz of carp and silvers caught down the edge on maggot.
Top silvers went to hemp and tares expert Simon Belcham with 18lbs (plus 13lbs 8oz of carp) from peg 19.
Stevie Wynne continued his run of bad luck, this time losing his 13m pole section when it was blown into the lake by a gust of wind and then discovering the underneath of his car had fallen off!
Well done to Adam Caswell for managing to skilfully avoid all the fish that were feeding in his
